Red eyes...?

For the past 5 days or so my eyes have been really red.

First it started off with my right eye with green/clear ooze and redness and waking up with it crusty and closed. Then yesterday my left eye started stinging and they both were really red and I had tears in them (I wasn't crying) and my eyes were both stinging like they had something in them. I wear contacts and I took them out and it still hurt.

I don't have any problem with vision and I don't have any more eye mucus but it hurts to open them in the sunlight and they are still stinging.

I have some congestion and a bad headache.

Anyone know what in the world could be wrong with me?

Sounds like pink eye....there is an over the counter eye drop for pink eye. It's rather expensive but I heard it works. I always take the kids to the family doctor and get drops....they work within a day or two.
